After winning my 1st round heat of Mastermind 1997 my reward was a place in the semi final. I was back in the black chair and Magnus Magnusson asked me questions on the “The Marathon Footrace from 1896″. The programme was recorded at the Britannia Royal Naval College at Dartmouth. Even to get onto Mastermind let alone the semi-final is quite an achievement which I envy. Also a pity that Mastermind doesn’t film in numerous venues anymore, all filmed in my hometown [Manchester] now. Oh, and JH isn’t an inch on Magnus.
